What makes this product special?

“We noticed that our Hyaluronic Concentrate , the hydrating and plumping best-seller, had “collateral benefits”: fewer blemishes, a healthier look, finer skin texture and tighter pores. This observation was confirmed by users with oily or combination, blemish-prone skin. They noticed a significant improvement with regular use.

That is how we decided to create The Supernature Purifying Potion. We wanted to strengthen the anti-blemish action and combined hyaluronic acid with the star active of our Supernature range : salicylic acid. This duo of acids delivers intense hydration thanks to hyaluronic acid, while providing a purifying action thanks to the gentle peeling effect of salicylic acid, all in an ultra-light, oil-free formula.

We developed this formula specifically for blemish-prone and acne-prone skin. Our range already has two successful products for this skin type: The Supernature Face Cream and TheSupernature Face Emulsion. Both based on plant-derived salicylic acid. However, we identified a gap in our offer, namely a very light, oil-free serum that can be applied to the whole face or specifically to blemish-prone areas.”

Why the name “Potion”?

“The name Potion stems from the versatility of this product, which can be used in different ways. It can be applied to a blemish-prone area, used daily or according to occasional needs. The word “potion” naturally evokes something magical, highlighting the effectiveness of the combination of acids. We deliberately avoided the name serum because it is often associated with anti-aging. Blemish-prone skin often does not yet feel the need for an anti-aging serum.

Which skin type is this product for?

“This product is specially suited to people with combination or oily skin, characterized by overproduction of sebum and excessive shine, often associated with acne-prone tendencies. It is also suitable for people with enlarged pores.

It is essential to distinguish between oily skin and well-hydrated skin. Oily skin can lack hydration, which differs from dry skin, which lacks lipids. For blemish-prone skin, it is advisable to give it a good dose of hydration every day. Oily skin is often dehydrated.

For oily and combination skin, it can even be beneficial to add a small dose of lipids with ingredients such as shea butter or jojoba oil, which are non-comedogenic nourishing components. In this particular formulation, we chose not to include any oil or oily component. This formula is therefore perfectly suited to the needs of oily, dehydrated skin with enlarged pores.

How do I add the potion to my daily routine?

“The Supernature Purifying Potion is designed to be used twice a day, morning and evening. It is a product concentrated in actives, like a serum. If you already use a cream, the potion can be added before it. An additional advantage of The Supernature Purifying Potion is that it improves the penetration of the actives in a cream applied afterwards.

It is best to apply this type of formula directly to clean skin, dispensing the product without touching the face too much with the pipette. Apply a few drops to the forehead, one to each cheek, then gently spread the product with your fingertips.

For combination skin with an oily T-zone, The Purifying Potion can be applied to the whole face, followed by a cream applied only to the dry areas.

The Potion can also be applied only to the areas concerned, for example when you have a pimple. To do so, place a small drop of product on the blemish, then gently spread it.
