Yes. Oily skin can perfectly well lack water: sebum and hydration are two different parameters. If your skin shines but also shows tightness, a lack of suppleness or fine lines, it may be dehydrated. In that case, use Supernature to target excess sebum, pores and blemishes, but keep a light hydrating step. You can, for example, combine a Supernature product with The HUYGENS Hyaluronic Concentrate, then choose a suitable light cream. There is no need to dry out the skin further to treat its blemishes.

Salicylic acid is an oil-soluble BHA, particularly suited to sebum-related concerns. It helps remove dead cells and unclog pores, which gradually helps improve the appearance of blemishes and smooth skin texture. Systematically skipping the cream or using only drying products can leave the skin dehydrated and uncomfortable, without necessarily resolving excess sebum. Blemish-prone skin does not need to be cleansed or exfoliated more than any other. Use a gentle cleanser morning and evening, without multiplying washes during the day. Exfoliating actives such as salicylic acid should be used according to the product's instructions, without systematically combining them with several scrubs or exfoliants. Also keep suitable hydration. If the skin starts to feel tight, turn red or become uncomfortable, this may indicate that the routine is too aggressive: space out the exfoliating products and temporarily favor gentle cleansing and hydration.
